Quad City Hockey Association

The 2024-25 Coaches' Registration is now open.  If you will be coaching during the 2024-25 Hockey season (Try Hockey for Free events, One Goal, skills clinics, and Mini Mites all the way up through High School House League/Select/Travel), you will need to complete the following USAH requirements BEFORE you are allowed on the ice with any of our QCHA players. 

• 24-25 USA Hockey Membership $56
• QCHA Registration
• SafeSport Training
• Background Screening (every 2 years) $30
• Age Specific Coaching Modules $10 for each module
• Coaching Clinic $60
  • Coaches have until 12/31/24 to complete the online coaching clinic.  All other requirements must be completed BEFORE stepping on the ice.

Annual Coaches' Meeting

The QCHA will hold a Coach's meeting for anyone interested in coaching for the 2024-25 season.  The Director of Coaching, Head of Referees and a Board Member will be present to answer any questions you may have and to update you on changes that may have happened over the summer.  The date of the meeting will be August 15th with a time and location TBD.  An email will be sent to each coach with the information at a later date.

In-Season Coaching Development Workshops

For the 2024-25 season we are adding optional Coaching Workshops to discuss various in-season topics. These ARE NOT coaching clinics that fulfill USA Hockey requirements. Time and location will be determined closer to the date of each meeting and an email will be sent to each coach.

Coaches' Gifts

The QCHA board and our members greatly appreciate the time and effort that each coach puts into our association for the development of our players.  We could not have an association without the dedication of the coaches each season.  We would like to offer each returning coach from the 23-24 season that completed all of the requirements and any new coach for the 24-25 season the opportunity to select a gift as a thank you for all that you do for the association.  All 2024-25 requirements must be completed in full in order to receive your gift.

For those coaches that complete the requirements by 8/1/24, the selected gift will be ready for pickup by 9/1/24.  If all of the requirements are complete by 10/1/24, the selected gift will be ready for pickup by 11/1/24.  And for those that finish the requirements by 12/31/24, you will receive your gift by 2/1/24.
